Juvenile Delinquent to Surgeon
How does a boy whose mother dies when
he’s thirteen, whose father is an alcoholic, who is arrested three times for
minor crimes, joins the army at fifteen, spends fours years in the navy, go from
juvenile delinquent to a surgeon? That’s my story. The memoir takes one
through my turbulent childhood, joining the Army at fifteen, four years in the
navy, back to high school, through college, med school, internship, and surgical
residency to become a surgeon.
